Software Improvement Group (SIG) wins framework agreement with the Flemish Government

Antwerp, February 1, 2022 – Software Improvement Group (SIG), a technology and IT services institute, has been selected to provide independent strategic ICT advice for the Flemish Government, Policy Area ‘Kanselarij en Bestuur Agentschap Facilitair Bedrijf’.

Petra Van Beneden, Director Belgium & Luxembourg at SIG said, “As governments digitalize services to meet the evolving expectations of citizens and businesses, we see an increasing focus on software quality. We are therefore pleased to be able to offer independent, strategic advice for the Flemish Government and all associated agencies and departments through this agreement for a successful digital transformation of the Flemish Government.”

SIG can objectively analyze the quality of custom applications to report on it and to advise on mitigating measures to improve the software. Via this new framework agreement the Flemish Government can call on these services. Petra Van Beneden, “SIG software analysis will help to make data-driven decisions, discover risks in the software early on in the development lifecycle and eliminate them. This will help to improve security and the condition of the applications, among other things. With this level of software transparency, this allows accelerated work on legacy modernization and digital transformations efforts.”
