AI coding tools now write a growing share of production code. Enterprises can acquire Sigrid® through their existing AWS agreement to measure and govern that code across the entire portfolio.
Amsterdam, 10 September 2026– Software Improvement Group (SIG) today announced that Sigrid®, its continuous software portfolio governance platform, is available in AWS Marketplace, giving any organization with an AWS account a direct route to measure and fix the quality, security, and architectural risk of the code its teams and its AI agents are writing.
AI coding tools are fast and convincing, including when they are wrong. They hallucinate, work within a limited context window, and produce output based on probability rather than understanding. SIG’s State of Software 2026 report shows what that means at scale: AI-generated code carries roughly double the security risk violations of human-written code, and it is less maintainable, with the gap widening as systems grow larger.
The volume of code is rising sharply. The human capacity to review it is not. When generation outruns governance, technical debt accumulates faster, security exposure widens, and the systems a business depends on become harder to change. Governance that holds up has to be deterministic and independent of the model or human that wrote the code.

Governing AI-generated code across the portfolio

Organizations that already run on AWS can now subscribe to Sigrid through the contracting and billing arrangements they have in place. Subscriptions appear on the existing AWS invoice, alongside other AWS Marketplace purchases and within the same cost management and reporting tools. Private offers support negotiated pricing, term length, and portfolio scope for larger estates.
